After
a gratifying business life including two long stays in Italy and
in the United states, my husband and I have returned to our motherland.
Living in the Bourbonnais province, deep in the heart of agricultural
France, we have realised our dream and renovated an old farm where
we built two beautiful lodges that we have managed for almost
ten years. In 2000 and 2005, we have added four chambres d'hôtes
(Bed and Breakfast accommodation) and a big sheltered dining room.
Approved by the GITES de FRANCE Association, our Gîtes
and guest rooms have a "3 and 4 épis"rating,
the highest rating in France for comfort.
A few miles away from the A 71 highway (Paris
to Clermont Ferrand and south) and at 500 yard from a major high
road, the complex is very quiet and enjoys, as a scenery, the
magnificent medieval Bord castle view in the back.

Come visit us; We love what we do and will make all our efforts to make your stay in our beautiful region a pleasant one . From your residence at Bord, you will be able to play golf, go river or lake fishing, ride horses in the beautiful Tronçais forest, hike or ride a mountain bike in the country lanes, visit the magnificent Roman churches of the area and its numerous castles, visit the native land, castles and tombs of the Bourbons family who, from Henri IV to Louis Philippe, have ruled France for nearly three hundred years Jacques will tell you the fascinating story of this family, their growing influence between the years 950 to 1515, their fight for power against King François I of France, the trial and exile of the last Duke of Bourbon, Commander in Chief of the French Armies : Charles III in 1523, then, through an historical revenge, the accession to the Kingdom of France in 1589 of one of their descendants : Henri de Navarre (Henri IV). He will suggest an itinerary to visit castles, churches and other monuments where their traces as well as those of their contemporary descendants can be found. |

Each one of the independant cottage has
a living-room of 20 to 25 m2 with a fully equiped kitchen, dining
corner and television as well as two double bedrooms with one
or two bathrooms. |
